The Joint Baltic American National Committee, Inc. (JBANC) seeks to fill the full-time salaried position of Assistant Managing Director starting in July 2025. The position would provide a platform for eventual leadership and oversight of overall operations and strategic planning for the organization. The employee would report to the JBANC board of directors and manage the office and other employees, including interns.
A degree or a comparable background in international relations or a related field is recommended. Strong communication and writing skills are highly desirable. Experience with social media is preferable. A working knowledge of American politics and the U.S. Congress is essential. The JBANC office is in Rockville, Maryland. Relocation expenses will not be paid. Frequent travel to Washington, DC will be expected.

Work responsibilities include:
· Developing and implementing policy plans and strategies, setting organizational goals, and making high-level decisions.
· Overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and managing resources effectively.
· Managing budgets, financial reporting, and ensuring financial health and compliance.
· Communicating with the board, stakeholders, employees, policy partners, and congressional and U.S. Administration staff.

Since 1961, the Joint Baltic American National Committee, Inc. (JBANC) has represented the Baltic-American communities and its three parent organizations, the American Latvian Association, the Estonian American National Council, and the Lithuanian American Council.
